How to Build an Effective Employee Mental Health Program: Working Session for HR Leaders

Hosted by Coa
Wednesday, May 10 | 1:00 – 2:00 pm et

During stressful periods, like layoffs and recession environments, the support of a community can make a difference in our work and mental health.

On May 10th, Coa will host a live working session for HR and People Operations leaders focused on mental health benefits. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, share examples, and learn tactics from our community that you can apply immediately after the session.

We will explore questions like:

  • What is working with mental health benefits and what’s not working?
  • What is important to consider when rolling out a mental health program?
  • What are appropriate decisionmaking criteria for selecting mental health benefits?
  • What questions should I ask potential vendors?
  • How do I successfully roll out benefits?
  • What are challenges I may be unaware of with our current mental health benefits?
  • How can I increase the chances employees will use their mental health benefits?
  • We have mental health benefits in place already, but utilization is low and our team is still burnt out. What do we do?

In this 60-minute session, Dr. Vaneeta Sandhu, Coa’s Head of Operations and Emotional Fitness, will share research findings, insights from working with hundreds of companies, and facilitate crowdsourcing of tactics and breakout group conversations.

At the end of the session, participants will be sent a mini-playbook of the research and tactics shared. Together, we will create this first-of-its-kind playbook.

Research shows that trust is the number one differentiator of high performing teams. Why? Teams with high levels of psychological safety innovate more, learn faster, and perform better. In contrast, teams with low psychological safety are doomed to repeat mistakes and avoid sharing new ideas. In this mini-workshop by LifeLabs Learning, we’ll share research and tools that help you quickly build trust within and among teams at your company, even in cross-cultural and hybrid environments.

  • Create productive vulnerability
  • Diagnose common trust blockers and identify solutions to fix them, faster
  • Increase team learning behaviors to more effectively learn from mistakes
